Mary Ashokeji is a British-Nigerian portrait, documentary, and behind-the-scenes photographer. Her work seeks vulnerability in her subjects exploring love, culture, and faith through images that carry quiet emotional depth. She reconnects with visual and research-based storytelling to preserve culture, honour resilience, and make people feel seen in ordinary moments.

Mary graduated from Ravensbourne University London with a degree in Digital Photography. In 2023, she was shortlisted for the 'Sony World Photography Awards for her series Expressions of Worship which explored the intimacy of faith and collective devotion. Her work has been exhibited at Somerset House.
